Fair Hills Officer Files Law Suit Against Chief

A Far Hills police officer has filed a lawsuit against former police chief, Kenneth Hartman, alleging he sexually harassed his wife. Hartman allegedly sent sexually graphic text messages to the woman and made similar sexual advances to the wives and girlfriends of other borough employees.

“Oceans Eleven” Gang Suspect Commits Suicide

Christopher S. Tew, a member of a group of burglary suspects that called themselves the “Oceans Eleven gang”, is dead after committing suicide at the Mercer county Correction Center. Tew was among five other people arrested last week in connection with more than 15 burglaries in Hamilton Township.

15 Year Prison Sentence for False Alarm that led to Officer’s Death

Diana Hoffman receives a 15-year prison sentence after raising false public alarm that led to a State trooper’s death. June 6 of this year, state troopers were chasing Hoffman in her Ford Fusion at a high speed on the Garden State Parkway until she left the highway at exit 98 in Wall Township.

New Jersey State Trooper Charged with Drunk Driving

A N.J. state trooper has been charged with drunken driving after striking two parked cars in a Monmouth County beach neighborhood, crashing his troop car into a backyard creek and then fleeing the scene. Kevin T. Byrne, 33, of Spring Lake Heights, the trooper involved, was found and arrested at his home, only 2 miles from where he abandoned his car.

Off-Duty Officer Shoots at Parked Car

Three teens were inside a vehicle early Sunday when an off-duty N.J. state trooper shot at their car. Reportedly, no one was hurt in the incident, but the Attorney General’s office said the Shooting Response Team is still gathering information. Authorities have declined to name the trooper involved or to release any other details. At the moment, no charges have been filed.
